A surprise party was called for on Sunday at Aldermaston, and we do love a surprise hog roast party. Not wanting to let the cat out of the bag we managed to keep it a secret at our end, lots of secret phone calls to the husband so his wife didn’t find out about her surprise 50th Birthday Party. Thank goodness the day was finally here! Hooray….Hog Roast were catering in the village hall in Aldermaston and all the husband had to do was to ensure his wife was there on time, we had the rest in hand! Upon arrival we set to work immediately cooking some hog, chicken, beef, lamb and turkey a great selection for the three hundred guests to try, along with the meat we were making some fresh crisp salad and lots of different types of fresh bread all baked fresh on the day.
We laid the tables and the room looked so nice and the meat cooking away when the guests started to arrive we kept the guest chatting as they waited for the guest of honour to arrive and kept their glasses topped up, then bang on time the lady and her husband waked in her face was a picture as everyone shouted ”Surprise” she was totally gob smacked then the shocked face turned into a huge smile! We handed the birthday some food, she was very impressed saying it was the first time she had ever tasted hog roasting food and said she loved it, the meat we must say was sensational! It just fell apart when cut.
Hog Roast Aldermaston always create a stir where ever they go with the fantastic meat and we are so proud of what we do and we were so relieved to be honest that we didn’t let anything slip before the party, a huge pat on the back was had by all. Its so nice when everything just comes together and we love how we help make it happen!
