With so much going at weddings sometimes the simpler approach to catering is the best option. Extravagance is often the name of the game with weddings, but extravagance can come in the form of food rather than through service, allowing you to keep your reception service simpler and have less chance of anything going wrong.
That, at least, was the thinking of our recent newlyweds Ed and Diane who had the Hog Roast Reading team in to cater their incredibly special wedding. It is always a pleasure for us to cater events here at Hog Roast Reading– every event tends to be a special moment in someone’s life that we are fortunate enough to not only be privy to, but also contribute to – but with weddings the privilege of serving at a couples’ most special day in life the ultimate reward. That was no less clear to us than in our attendance to Ed and Diane’s wedding service.
Ed and Diane wanted a fairly stripped back service, inviting a relatively small but certainly important guest list of their closest friends and family to share in their loving matrimony. With a smaller crowd there was more onus placed on our foods to really impress – which thankfully we at Hog Roast Reading with our elite chefs are always capable of.
Before dinner guests mingled for chat and of course photos. In the meantime the Hog Roast Reading service team patrolled the room with a healthy supply of delicious canapés to whet the appetites of the guests for the main event. If our mini beef burger sliders, salmon bites, mini pizzas and halloumi and tomato crostini’s were an impressive appetiser then our hog roast and beef sirloin mains blew the roof off. Our chefs were hard at work roasting these meaty beauties all day for fresh serving straight from the roaster come dinner time. With an accompaniment of buttered new potatoes, homemade coleslaw, seasonal veg and mixed leaves our wedding menu was certainly a cracker and helped Ed and Diane to really ring in their new life together in style.
Hog Roast Reading took in many compliments which is always the ultimate reward for our work, and we look forward to many more events with the newlyweds in future!
