Kimberly’s 30th birthday was on Thursday, and to mark the occasion, her thoughtful husband, Tom, had planned a belated celebration as a surprise for her. This landmark birthday blowout took place on Saturday night in the function room of a swanky hotel nearby, which boasted plenty of space for the client’s 150-strong guest list.
Thinking of every detail, Tom had booked a room for him and Kimberly to spend the night in the hotel after the party, giving both of them the absolute freedom to make the most of the evening’s celebrations. He had also picked out elegant rose gold and dusty pink decorations and props to accessorise the party hall, along with commissioning a custom birthday cake, which he knew Kimberly would love.
When it came to organising the food for the event, Tom put his trust in Hog Roast Calcot. Our reputation for delivering fresh-tasting, high-quality meals filled him with confidence from the get-go, and after speaking with our catering managers, Roy and James, he knew that he had put his faith in the right place.
Hog Roast Calcot’s dynamic duo helped the client find his perfect menu in no time at all, and on the day of the party, they travelled to the venue to get everything set up before the guests or the birthday girl arrived.
The buffet they prepared on this occasion was our Southern Slow Roast Menu, which Tom had chosen because of the variety it offers. Comprising of Texan beef brisket, Cajun spiced whole roast chickens, Louisiana sticky pork ribs and BBQ pulled jackfruit rolls with a variety of sides, including mixed sweet potato and regular fries, Memphis style crunchy coleslaw and seasonal green leaf salad, this indulgent feast had something to entice every palate.
As per Tom’s instructions, the guests arrived shortly before he and Kimberly did. Around 30 minutes later, the client arrived with the birthday girl in tow, and Kimberly was overcome with emotion when she realised the lengths her husband had gone to to make her birthday special.
She was thrilled to see all of her loved ones in the same room, and the next thing she noticed was the wave of gorgeous aromas from our buffet. Right on queue, Hog Roast Calcot served a plate to both Tom and Kimberly before feeding the rest of the guests.
Everyone was very vocal about how much they enjoyed the meal, which filled Roy and James with pride. Before leaving the group to enjoy the rest of their evening, Hog Roast Calcot tidied away the mess and served up the birthday cake with fresh berries and cream.
