During the colder autumn months, there is nothing nicer than warming up with a delicious meal enjoyed with friends or family. At Hog Roast Slough, our hog roasts are the star of the show this autumn and are sure to be perfect for any event!
In September, Hog Roast Slough was contacted by Alice to provide catering at her upcoming dinner party. She is hosting a gathering for her friends to celebrate the changing of seasons and enjoy some hearty and delicious comfort food together. Alice had previously enjoyed our catering at a work event, so she knew that our hog roast would be the perfect dish to enjoy on a rainy autumn evening. She contacted our catering managers, James and Roy, and we got to work on creating the perfect menu for the dinner party.
In preparation for this event, the Hog Roast Slough team is planning on arriving at the private venue in the afternoon to give us plenty of time to prepare the menu on-site. We will begin by slow-roasting the hog, which requires around five hours to cook to perfection. Once ready, the succulent pork will be expertly carved and served alongside sage and onion stuffing, golden crackling, and homemade applesauce, creating the perfect centrepiece for the event. For meat-free guests, we will be serving BBQ-pulled jackfruit, which is a nutritious and tasty alternative to pork. Additionally, we will serve roasted potatoes, seasonal roasted vegetables, and rich gravy, to create a balanced and delicious evening meal. The menu will be served buffet style, allowing Alice and her guests to each create their perfect meal from the dishes we have on offer. The Hog Roast Slough team is looking forward to catering for this event and making this dinner party an evening to remember!
