This June, Hog Roast Bucklebury was hired to provide catering for a lovely couple based in Berkshire. Lauren and her partner have been together since they met at university and found out that they were actually from the same town and had mutual friends! From here, their relationship grew stronger, and they soon knew they wanted to be together. for their wedding, the couple planned a beautiful ceremony in their local church, followed by a traditional reception with a formal lunch and an evening buffet. Our catering manager Roy had the perfect menu for this occasion and soon got to work planning the menu!
On the day of the event, the Hog Roast Bucklebury team arrived in the morning to prepare for the 1:00pm lunch. We began by preparing the main dishes, which included slow-roasted pork and BBQ pulled jackfruit. The mains were served with a variety of tasty side dishes, including sage and onion stuffing, roasted baby potatoes, and seasonal vegetables. This menu was served formally to the 30 guests and was a perfect way to follow on from the ceremony.
After an evening of dancing, entertainment and photo opportunities, it was time for Hog Roast Bucklebury to serve the evening buffet. This consisted of sausage and bacon rolls, with veggie sausages also on offer. This was a casual meal that was a great contrast to the earlier lunch and was the perfect way to end the event.
