Corporate catering has a bit of a reputation for being predictable. Basic sandwich and sausage roll platters, lukewarm coffee, maybe a biscuit or two if you’re really lucky. But it doesn’t have to be that way. At Hog Roast Aldershot, we’ve spent a lot of time proving that business events can feel just as exciting as any celebration – sometimes even more so – when the food is done properly.
That was certainly the case recently when Kier Construction Ltd brought us in to cater for a corporate event with around 50 guests. The brief they set us was simple: good food, plenty of it, and something that would suit a mixed group without feeling too formal or too fiddly. Easy.
So, Hog Roast Aldershot did what Hog Roast Aldershot does best…
A full hog roast took centre stage, cooked slowly until the meat was tender enough to fall apart at the slightest pull. Sausages and marinated chicken thighs sat alongside for anyone who wanted to mix things up, which meant the spread had variety without losing focus.
Even the vegetarian and vegan guests were properly looked after, with grilled vegetable kebabs (with or without halloumi), flatbreads and tzatziki dip giving them something vibrant and tasty, rather than a last-minute addition – and judging by how quickly they disappeared, the decision to include them was a good one.
Then there were the sides, which on this occasion genuinely earned their place rather than just filling space on the table. Huge bowls of tomato and mozzarella salad, mixed salad and coleslaw sat 
alongside a mix of sweet potato and classic fries, giving guests the freedom to build their plates however they wanted. Some people kept it simple. Others made us proud by coming back again and again to try out different combinations until every dish was picked clean.
The client was thrilled – not just with the food but with the whole experience. From how the spread looked to the variety on offer and the way the service ran, they couldn’t have asked for a more seamless service.
