Gala days are great for bringing people together and raising community spirit among the locals! And as for Hog Roast Caversham, these types of events are also a great way for us to promote our services and form lasting connections with people and businesses in our area. So, when Richard asked if we would like to help out at the community event he had put together, we snapped up his offer instantly!
The gala in question went ahead last Saturday, and Richard was delighted that so many people had shown an interest in coming along to join in the celebrations. For the occasion, he and the rest of the gala committee had gone all out by making sure that the public park was filled with different forms of entertainment and activities to keep the guests amused. These included inflatables, fairground rides, prize stalls, a beer tent and so much more. There was also a live band performing, plus a group of entertainers who weaved their way through the busy crowds while showing off their juggling and fire-breathing skills.
Hog Roast Caversham had set up our stall in an easily accessible location before proceeding to whip up a mouth-watering feast of slow-roasted pork, which was served on gluten-free or wholemeal baps with crackling, sage and onion stuffing, applesauce and sides of mixed fries, salad and coleslaw. For the vegan and vegetarian guests in attendance, our crew had also rustled up a batch of BBQ pulled jackfruit rolls with plant-based coleslaw, which looked so tender and delicious, that even some of the meat-eaters decided to give it a go!
All of those who tried the food served by Hog Roast Caversham were left speechless. From the presentation to the incredibly fresh flavours, everything our caterers served was on point, which made us a main attraction of the event. Fortunately, our crew had made more than enough food to go around, which meant that many of the guests were able to indulge in second and third helpings of our tasty food.
