Hog Roast Holyport Celebrating A New Home!

When Penny contacted Hog Roast Holyport recently, it was to ask us about our catering services, after being recommended to us by a close friend. We often have repeat custom, and some of our long-term customers have been with us for many years, and come back again and again because of our fresh, tasty food and top-class service to boot.

Hog Roast HolyportPenny told us she was organising a party to celebrate moving into her own home and she wanted her family members and friends to enjoy a hog roast and some additional dishes together with her. We are often asked to prepare extra sides, both hot and cold, so whether you fancy new potatoes with herbs, spicy sweet potato wedges or jacket potatoes, or our homemade coleslaw and a Greek or tomato and mozzarella salad, we have plenty of options on offer. If you prefer handmade canapés and refreshments to be served to your guests, we can easily arrange that too, and if you’re inviting any guests with dietary requirements, just let us know in advance so that our chefs can whip up something suitable and highly tasty.

For Penny’s get-together at home in her back garden, she wanted Hog Roast Holyport to cook a hog roast so that we could make everyone lots of yummy hog roast rolls (which we call pigs in buns), and to also freshly prepare our crunchy and tangy Memphis coleslaw and to serve our homemade mac and cheese. Both are suitable or vegetarians, and while we can make a suitable main course if needed, Penny was happy to let her veggie guests know that they could enjoy these two delicious dishes.

Hog Roast Holyport cooked up a storm at Penny’s home on Sunday, with around twenty-five guests feasting on the lovely lunch that we prepared, cooked and served in the afternoon sun. The hog spent hours sizzling away before it was carved up to fill the fresh bread rolls and wraps, with both the meat and crackling topped with our own apple sauce and sage and onion stuffing. The mac and cheese and coleslaw were devoured just as easily as the pigs in buns were, and by the time we cleared away, everything had been stripped clean.
