Over the years, Hog Roast Reading have had the pleasure of catering for some of the world’s biggest brands. On the 10th of July, we’re so excited to be heading to the Porsche garage in Reading to cater for a private event. There will be over 100 guests in attendance. It’s set to be a great day where employees and customers will come together to chat about the brand and tuck into great food. The event will be led by the franchise’s catering manager, James.
Did you know that one of the first cars Porsche ever created was the Volkswagen Beetle? However, it was in 1939 that Porsche first developed the Porsche 64 – the first car named after the brand itself.

The garage has asked us to cook our signature hog roast, of course for this special event. It is what we are best known for across the UK and is where our speciality lies. As the event starts at 5.30 pm, we’ll arrive around lunchtime to get our equipment set up and the pig roast on the spit. It takes roughly 6 hours for the pork to cook through until it’s tender and up to our high standards. But, as there are so many guests expected to attend, they also requested that we offer alternative options for those with dietary requirements. Therefore, we’ll also be serving marinated chicken thighs for those who aren’t a fan of pork. And vegans and vegetarians have options too, including grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers, and BBQ pulled jackfruit. Plus, all guests have a choice of three salads.
Once the event comes to its natural end, the Hog Roast Reading team will manage all of the cleaning up, so there’s nothing that the staff need to do before heading home. Our catering packages aim to take the stress out of event planning from start to finish.
Hog Roast Reading look forward to attending the Porsche garage for this special event next week! Keep a look out for highlights from the day on our social media pages.
