Here at Hog Roast Reading, we are always honoured to be asked to be the chosen corporate caterer for important in-house events. Last week, the Porsche showroom in Reading got in touch to ask if we could cater for their special function. Of course, we jumped at the opportunity. There were over 100 guests in attendance, made up of both employees and clients who came together to celebrate this luxury global brand.
When Porsche got in touch with Hog Roast Reading, they asked us to serve our iconic hog roast. Our signature pork menu is always a firm favourite with customers. Not surprisingly, it’s always our most requested dish. Our chefs have perfected their skill in the art of hog roasting over several decades. So, we can guarantee the finest quality every single time. Catering manager Jack worked alongside the team at Porsche to discuss their requirements and any dietary needs. As the event started at 5.30 pm, we got to the showroom hours before to set up our state-of-the-art machinery. We got the hog placed on the spit to sizzle over the open flame, which creates a gentle and thorough cooking process.
Alongside our popular pork, Porsche requested that we also serve alternatives. After all, giving guests a choice means no one goes home hungry. Hog Roast Reading also offered delicious, marinated chicken thighs, alongside herb-dressed new potatoes and a mixture of sweet and traditional fries. For those who were vegan and vegetarian, our grilled halloumi skewers and BBQ pulled jackfruit flew off the trays and gained great feedback.
We know that staff members have a lot of responsibility looking after customers, so we aimed to pressure off once the event ended.
