Lauren has two children and her eldest is turning 8 this April. To celebrate, she planned a birthday party for her daughter’s school friends and family to enjoy, with a Disney theme. The party is set to take place in a function room near their home in Berkshire, which is ideal for hosting 50 guests with entertainment and catering. For the menu, Hog Roast Aldermaston has been hired to provide a classic hog roast for the occasion, with a few additional dishes to ensure that there is something for guests of all ages to enjoy. Our catering manager James was happy to get involved with this event and provide a delicious buffet lunch for the party!
On the day of the event, the Hog Roast Aldermaston team arrived at the function room with plenty of time to prepare for the 2:00pm mealtime. We began by slow-roasting the hog and ensuring that it was cooked to perfection before it was expertly carved by our chef. Additionally, we also served succulent pork sausages and veggie sausages to ensure that there was something for everyone to enjoy. The mains were served in fresh bread rolls, with gluten-free rolls also on offer. Alongside the mains, we provided homemade chips, a selection of salad dishes, corn on the cob, crunchy coleslaw, and tasty mac and cheese. Overall, this created a varied and delicious main meal with plenty of options to choose from, allowing every guest to create a plate from what we had to offer.
