Summer Engagement – Hog Roast Bisham

Over the years, we’ve spent a great deal of time perfecting the delicious hog roast in Bisham that we’re famous for, and we’re rather proud of it. Whether you choose a simple hog roast sandwiches menu or have a formal sit-down party with a stunning hog centrepiece, the quality is the same, with locally-sourced meat from the best suppliers. However, if you’re new to our website, you may think that we only provide hog roast catering, yet we can do so much more!

In terms of catering for your party or event (whether that’s a birthday party, wedding or corporate hospitality event, for example), we can also spit roast all kinds of other meat, from chicken to deer, or barbecue burgers and sausages. We can provide garden-fresh salads, potatoes, vegetables, fish dishes and alternatives for those with dietary requirements, and even desserts and posh nosh like canapés. Your event or party is in safe hands when you hire The Spitting Pig to cater, as we use quality ingredients every time, prepare all the food fresh on-site and work to the highest standards. We don’t take shortcuts and we like to ensure an excellent job every time.

Just yesterday, we had the pleasure of catering an engagement party for a young couple who wanted to try a hog roast in Bisham for the first time. Recommended to us by a family friend, Gillian and Harry called us to book our services for their summer engagement celebration. After browsing our website, they already knew they wanted a simple menu that consisted of hog roast rolls and some fresh salads, so we booked them in and looked forward to the event, hoping for a nice, warm day. British summertime weather as it is, we could only hope for this and not guarantee it, of course. As the day came closer, Gillian called us, concerned that the forecasted rain would ruin her special day but we allayed her fears when we told her about our marquee tents that keep guests dry whatever the weather.

Sure enough, despite the pouring rain, the guests loved the novel idea of a hog roast in Bisham. They also clearly loved the taste, too, as we stripped the meat clean off to give them seconds and thirds!
