Yeehaw! Hog Roast Woodley Made Sure This Cowboy Wedding Was a Rootin’-Tootin’ Success!

Last weekend, the scorching sun and bright blue skies set the perfect stage for a wedding that was anything but ordinary. Elijah and Charlotte tied the knot in a cowboy-themed celebration that was as wild and wonderful as their love story!

It all started back in 2019 when Elijah, a true Texan, moved to the UK for work and fate brought him face-to-face with Charlotte at a corporate event. Sparks flew, and before long, they were dreaming of a future together.

Fast forward to their big day, and Elijah and Charlotte’s vision of a Texas-meets-Berkshire wedding came to life in spectacular fashion. Nestled on a sprawling 3,000-acre farming estate, surrounded by a dreamy bluebell forest, the couple’s chosen venue was everything they’d ever dreamed of.

In a secluded meadow, a tipi-style stretch tent was decked out in full cowboy splendour. The beams of the tent sparkled with fairy lights, and the rustic wooden tables were draped in cow hides and sheepskin throws.

200 guests travelled from near and far, with some flying in from the Lone Star State and others making their way from across the UK. Everyone embraced the cowboy theme, with many donning boots and hats—yes, even the bride and groom! The excitement was palpable as the ceremony kicked off and the celebration began.

When it was time to eat, Hog Roast Woodley brought the taste of Texas to Berkshire with our Southern Slow Roast Menu. Our dynamic catering duo, Roy and James, got to work early, marinating the meats in our secret rubs and cooking them low and slow until they were melt-in-your-mouth perfect. The spread was a carnivore’s dream, featuring BBQ pork butt, Texan 24-hour beef brisket, and whole roast chickens with a fiery Cajun twist. And for non-meat-eaters, we served up BBQ-pulled jackfruit buns, piled high with plant-based slaw.

The sides were the perfect accompaniments: Memphis-style crunchy coleslaw, creamy mac and cheese, and hearty potato salad. Hog Roast Woodley’s food was so delicious that guests from both sides of the pond were unable to resist coming back for seconds!

The festivities continued with lively country dancing and roasting s’mores over a crackling bonfire. The evening was filled with laughter, joy, and the kind of fun that makes for unforgettable memories.
