The alarm was set for five as we had a busy day ahead and lots to do! A very special day planned we were catering for a retirement party for a gentleman who had been working at the same Accountancy firm for the past forty years and his work colleagues thought it could not go unnoticed and arranged for a surprise party and we love surprise parties! Catering for one hundred guests a fairly small gathering compared to what we are used to we secretly parked our van at the back of the Accountant premises as to not give the game away, as our van has a huge pig logo and our name scrawled across so we did not want him to get suspicious the guest of honour was arriving in two hours so that gave us plenty of time to cook, we were doing an open buffet with pork and crackling and lamb and mint sandwiches with some potato skins and lots of fresh salad and our wonderful dressings too. When the guest of honour arrived he was totally gobsmacked! And he was so happy he loved the sight of the pig an said he had never tasted hog roast food before and we love seeing peoples expressions when they taste hog roast food for the first time there faces are a sight to see! He loved the food and thought the crackling amazing along with the pork he could not believe how the pork just fell apart, Hog Roast hear the same thing time and time again but to be honest we never get tired of hearing it, the guy received some really nice gifts from the company a gold engraved watch, a bottle of his favourite tipple whisky and lots of farewell cards he said a few words and he was very emotional and to be honest there wasn’t a dry eye in the house and that included us too! Oh we do love a good cry and it was a lovely day and one we will remember for a good while Hog Roast Hire bringing joy to the UK!
