A Busy Run up to Bonfire Night with a Hog Roast In Bradfield.

A Day in the life of Spitting Pig.

On a Busy Autumn Morning at the Farm our DIY’s are prepped and all ready to be loaded, Lisa our admin has been phoning all the customers throughout the week checking their contracts and going through any last minute changes, delivery instructions for their DIY’s, Roy the Farmer and his Son James have worked Tirelessly throughout the week planning staff and prepping pigs down to the last detail to ensure our customers receive their pigs at the correct time with everything they need to make their event a success. The drivers then arrive. The pigs and equipment are loaded, last minute checks are made and the paperwork is handed over to driver with instructions of where to go.

Brian one of our longest serving drivers with satellite Navigation all set up, sets off in his white van on his journey, he’s done many of these being an old hand at this, He’s off to a few destinations today so he will be back and forth a few times.

He arrives at his destination. A house in the country this time, with precise instructions of how to get to the house, where to park and which entrance to go to he rings the bell. The owner of the house greets him and shows him exactly where she would like him to place the Hog Roast Bradfield and the equipment for her DIY, she tells him it’s her husband birthday party. Brian sets up the lights, roaster and goes through everything she needs to know. All she needs to do now is just check her pig every so often to make sure the roaster is still lit and advises her pig will be ready at the serve time she specified in her hire contract. He asks her if she has any more questions for him regarding her DIY and leaves one on our DIY Instruction leaflets and advises to call us at anytime if she needs us.

Brian also leaves her with her extra requested rolls, Apple sauce, stuffing and plates as she ordered these as an extra part of her DIY.

Brian then said goodbye jumped into his van an headed back to the farm to pick up his next DIY and he knew he was off up to the bright lights of the city next to a regular Hotel customer. Another Sucessful DIY hog roast in Bradfield.
