As if Gemma and Richard didn’t have enough on their plate with their new baby daughter’s christening to arrange, they also had to worry about what was on everyone else’s plate at the post-christening celebration, as every member of their family seemed to have a different dietary requirement or not like certain foods! Gemma’s sister and cousin were vegetarian, her dad only ate chicken, Richard’s mum was gluten-intolerant, and his nan didn’t like pork! They were tearing their hair out trying to find a catering company who could fulfil the seemingly impossible task of pleasing everyone and preventing any family bust ups, until that is, they made one last desperate phone call to Hog Roast Bray! Gemma was so relieved when we talked her through our meus and our ability to cater for all tastes and diets within one meal that we thought she was going to burst into tears! We were glad we could give the stressed out new mum one less thing to worry about and she happily left all of the catering arrangements in our very capable-not to mention versatile- hands!
The Hog Roast Bray team made sure everything was perfectly prepared whilst the family were at the church with the new addition to the family. When Gemma and Richard arrived at the function room and saw the spread that was waiting for everyone, their relief was clearly visible! Gemma’s dad and Richard’s pork- averse nan wolfed down our whole-roasted organic chicken, the vegetarians in the family loved our feta skewers and side salads, and Richard’s mother was able to enjoy a delicious slow-roasted pork butty with the rest of the family, discreetly served in a gluten-free bread roll!
Instead of worrying about who couldn’t eat what or anyone going hungry, the proud parents were able to relax, remember why they were hosting the party in the first place and enjoy their special time with their daughter and the family members. The couple thanked Hog Roast Bray for providing such great food that everyone could enjoy and making their lives a lot easier in the process, and we’d given them some handy tips for when it was their turn to cook Christmas dinner!
