Here at Hog Roast Twyford we have always been very supportive of local British business. We are one ourselves, and started small like many other great British institutions, so we always like to remember where our roots are. It is part of the reason that we enjoy working with local business partners so often to supply their catering because we know how invaluable the help of another can be for local start-ups. It is also why Hog Roast Twyford franchises all across the country look to local stocks and farms for our produces. One, because we truly believe that local British farming produces some of the best meats in the world which we require to get the very best in our roasts, but two because we again like to support local industry.
When we were fortunate enough to be invited out to the Shore’s local weekend farmers market this past weekend we were delighted for the opportunity to work alongside a heap of local vendors. The farmers market runs every second weekend throughout Spring and Summer with vendors from around the area coming to sell their fresh produces and even offer some small samples to try for visitors too. Since we shop local for our meats it was great for our team to be able to set up a stall and give customers a real taste of some of the meats that they were seeing around the market with our purchasable hog roast rolls and our loaded plates of pork, beef, or chicken roasts with roasted potatoes, homemade coleslaw and side salad. There’s no better way to see the quality of a meat than tasting a finely made spit roast!
As well as getting to show off and sell our foods to visiting customers the market was also an exciting occasion for our chef who took time where he could out of the busy afternoon to peruse a lot of the local stocks for himself. We may well just have ended up with a couple of new farming friends to source from in the future with how much our chef seemed to be in adoration of the many stalls on show!
Get yourself down to your own local market and perhaps you’ll see a Hog Roast Twyford team there in future too!
